Barque Chapel of Hakor

The Barque Chapel of Hakor belongs to the 4th century BCE, a period of Egyptian history from which we have few monuments. It is located right outside the main entrance to the Temple of Amon, and appear quite lonely.
It offers nothing new in style compared to temples centuries older, but proves that at this time the knowledge of building techniques was still very much alive.
The chapel was used as a resting station for the god's processional journey to and from the Nile.
